I finished the last Harry Potter book on Sunday and it was GREAT!! I am sad the series is at an end , but the last installment was very exciting!! There were a couple of inconsistencies, but overall I was very happy! 
I heard that J.K. Rowling is putting together a book of all the Harry Potter outtakes from the other books. I will most certainly read it.

ok... Now that the series is over and I know what I'm getting into I think I'm going to start reading the books.
You should. I've read them multiple times. My favorite book is Order of the Phoenix, which turned out to be my least favorite of the movies. It just couldn't do the book justice...
