We had a great time last weekend at Wanee music festival! We saw moe., MOFRO, Govt. Mule, Derek Trucks, Greyboy Allstars, Bob Weir and Ratdog, and more. We had a lot of fun! I can't wait until October when we go back for MagFest!
Robbie gets the car ready to go. Nate and Robbie did a great job of packing while Lauren was at work. Without them we wouldn't have been able to leave on Thursday

Some of the beer in the cooler before the ice. Our cooler takes up a lot of room

Happy Birthday Addyson Avery Overton!

Addyson Avery Overton was born on Thursday, March 20th. 7 lbs 1 oz. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures yet, Hillary went in for her c-section unexpectedly on Thursday night, I got the call while I was at dinner and left directly from there. Hopefully I will get some pictures e-mailed to me soon and I will post those. Hillary and Addyson are doing fine. Congratulations Hillary and Brett!!

Happy New Year!
Our New Year's Eve party went off without any major disasters. Everyone had a great time! We had a bonfire, a keg, and Wii bowling tournament! Thanks to everyone that came!
The Phillips family arrives. I was surprised how easy-going Lilly was about the new situation. From left: Sam, Lilly, Mary
Robbie and Megan enjoy the food.
Even Tommy came out all the way from Alpharetta!
Raquel holds a curious Lilly. What the hell is going on here guys?!?

ST.LOUIS!
We were in St. Louis this past week and we had a great time! The visit was much too short and we were snowed in for two days so we didn't get to see everyone that we wanted to see, but it was a nice time anyway!
7 inches of snow the first day! Probably the only snow we will see all year!
Robbie BBQs in the snow! A first for a southern boy like Robbie!
Robbie, Patrick, and Elijah at the food court
Beth and Ellie
We love our St. Louis family! I wish that we could have seen all of you and we had a great time with those that we did see! Have a merry christmas everyone!

Christmas Tree
Yesterday we set up our first Christmas tree in our house. We are looking forward to our first Christmas as homeowners.
Halfway there!
Hanging ornaments. Thanks to Sandy Stites we already have lots!
The finished product. Robbie stands proudly next to the tree. The tree topper came with our copy of the "Shrek 2" DVD.
Yay Christmas!

Inspiring

Hey everyone,
I found this picture on the internet and I really liked it. If I had a daughter one day I would want her to feel like this!! I'm not sure what it is from and I hope that I'm not breaking any copyright laws or anything, but I wanted to share it with everyone. Hope you guys had a great Thanksgiving! Robbie and I are getting our tree next weekend and I can't WAIT for the first Christmas in the new house!

YAY HARRY POTTER!!!!
I finished the last Harry Potter book on Sunday and it was GREAT!! I am sad the series is at an end , but the last installment was very exciting!! There were a couple of inconsistencies, but overall I was very happy!
I heard that J.K. Rowling is putting together a book of all the Harry Potter outtakes from the other books. I will most certainly read it.

Fire Pit
Robbie and Nate worked really hard on the yard this afternoon and in the end we had two less trees and an incredible firepit!
Nate and Robbie test out their creation
A burst of lighter fluid.
The pit is lined with bricks and the outside is surrounded by a circle of rocks from our backyard. All we need now is some seating and it will be ready for winter!

A Storm Rolls In
One evening a large storm cloud rolled over our house on Edisto...luckily the worst of the storm missed us, but we did get to see the cloud barrel through at 40 mph
The dark cloud above the ocean
Everyone gathers outside to observe
The darkness envelopes the island
A rainbow after the storm

Food, food, and MORE FOOD!
We ate well everyday we were at the beach. Ribs, fish, shrimp, sausages, fish, and burgers for dinner, and grits, toast, biscuits, gravy, and pancakes for breakfast.
The first night the guys grilled some spicy shrimp and some delicious red snapper! YUM!
Breakfast compliments of Mrs. Phillips
Sam watches over the ribs as they sit in the smoker.
One afternoon we went to Charleston to eat at Hyman's, the most delicious seafood restaurant on earth. Their hush puppies are the things dreams are made of.
